Misconduct hearing outcome: Inspector 1045 Dale Baker
Main article content
South Wales Police held a private misconduct hearing in relation to former Inspector 1045 Dale Baker.
The panel found that the former officer breached the following standards of professional behaviour as a result of his inappropriate sexual behaviour towards female colleagues over a six-year period and dishonesty towards a supervising officer:
- Honesty and Integrity
- Authority, Respect and Courtesy
- Discreditable Conduct
The panel found that the only proportionate outcome in relation to the findings of sexual misconduct was that former Inspector Baker would have been dismissed if he had remained a serving police officer.
In relation to the finding of dishonesty the panel took no disciplinary action.
A referral will be made to the College of Policing for former Inspector Baker to be placed on the Barred List.
