Police Registration For Foreign Nationals

Workers and students are required to register with the police as a condition of their Visa / Biometric residence card. Workers and students who wish to register are required to book an appointment using the below form:

Unfortunately we sometimes struggle to accommodate all registrations within the 7 day requirement period. If we are not able to offer you an appointment within the 7 day period please continue to make an appointment for the next available slot, this will be taken that you have met the requirements.

Registration Requirements

All foreign nationals with the requirement to register are to bring all their relevant documentation for Police registration:-

  • Passport
  • Biometric card
  • 2 passport photographs
  • £34.00 in cash
  • A filled in questionnaire (if you are a student) a photocopy of their passport, entry visa and Biometric card.
  • Foreign nationals with Tier 4 “Leave to remain” BRP cards must bring either the email from (Home office atlas) or the letter received when picking up BRP from the University. We cannot register anyone who does not have either of these.
  • Questionnaire for Workers (If applicable)
  • Questionnaire for Universities

Foreign nationals who live in the Cardiff area

From Monday 10th September 2018 police registration for foreign nationals living in the Cardiff area, will take place at:

Rumney Police station,
713 Newport Road,
Cardiff CF3 4FD

There are several buses that go to Rumney, a 30, 49 and 50.  Please ask to get off at the Rumney Hill gardens and then walk up the hill for about 50 metres and the police station is on the left. Please use the intercom to gain access.

Friday 08.30 – 14.00
Closed Saturday and Sunday

Foreign nationals who live in the Swansea area

Students: Please contact your university; they will make an appointment on your behalf to see the police.

Professionals / Workers:
Please attend the Civic Centre, Oystermouth Road, Swansea,
SA1 3SN. Friday mornings only between 9.00am – 12.30pm
