Under the Freedom of Information Act, South Wales Police is obliged to publish information about the topics listed above in a Publication Scheme, as directed by the Information Commissioner.
The current version of the Scheme is based upon the Information Commissioners’ Office’s Model Scheme and the FOIA Definitions Document (302 downloads) for police forces, which outlines the minimum standards the police should adhere to in its Publication Scheme.
We are committed to being open and transparent in the way we do business, and pride ourselves on being a trusted and reliable source of information.
With this in mind, our Publication Scheme sets out:
- What information we publish as a matter of course or intend to publish
- How we will publish the information
- Whether the information is available free of charge or on payment
Our ACPO National Manual of Guidance (470 downloads) gives more detail and outlines what information we’re gathering as we continue to update our website. Contact the Freedom of Information team online or phone 01656 869437 if you can’t find what you want on our site.
We welcome feedback on our Publication Scheme too.
