South Wales Police has received a number of calls following an incident involving a ball boy at the Capital One Cup semi-final between Swansea City and Chelsea at The Liberty Stadium in Swansea on Wednesday 23rd January.
Three calls have been received from members of the public living in Sussex, Kent and West Wales which are being followed up.
Officers have interviewed the ball boy concerned in the presence of his father and he does not wish to make any formal complaint.
The boy did not sustain any injuries.
I am astonished that SW Police have time on their hands such that you can investigate frivolous complaints.
The incident was clearly visible to all TV viewers and if anything needs investigation it is the behaviour of the ballboy whose behaviour in my opinion constituted conduct likely to give rise to a breach of the peace. I have not witnessed anything like it in watching football for over 60 years
