Font type and size

Some users may find the text on the screen easier to read by increasing the size of the text.

This page explains how to increase the size of text and other elements in Windows 7/8

Windows 7/8

Windows 7 users: Click the ‘Start’ button and go to ‘Control Panel’

Windows 8 users: If you’re using a mouse, point to the bottom-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, click Settings, then click Change PC settings.

Click ‘Make the computer easier to see’ as shown below

Navigate to the ‘Make things on the screen larger’ section

Click the ‘Change the size of text and icons’ link

Click the ‘Apply‘ button, or press Tab until it is highlighted and then press Enter, to save your changes. You may then be required to restart your computer.

Mac OS X

Click on the ‘Apple‘ icon
Click on ‘System Preferences
In the ‘System Preferences’ window click on the ‘Displays‘ icon
Select the ‘Display’ tab
Under the ‘Resolutions’ heading select the appropriate screen resolution to suit. To make text appear bigger on the screen, change your display to a lower resolution.
Once you have completed this, click the red ‘close button’

Click the Apple icon on the menu bar, then ‘System Preferences’, click ‘Universal Access’ icon, select the seeing tab on the Universal Access Window and select from the ‘Black on White’, ‘White on Black’, ‘Gray-scale’ or the ‘Enhance Contrast’ options that appear on the screen
