    Ref: 262/14 Cat: Crime Statistics
    Req: 17/03/2014 Rep: 14/04/2014

I would like to ask for information on crimes reported within your area between March 1st 2013 and February 28th 2014 (inclusive). For each of the crimes listed below, could you share the following: - The number of offences reported in total - The number that involved the taking of computing and communications devices – i.e. mobile and smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers, computing equipment. - How many of those thefts of computing and communications devices were from private individuals and how many were from businesses or other organisations (e.g. local Government, health services, etc.) I would be very grateful for any information you could provide, but if time is limited then just the answers to the first two questions (i.e. number of reported incidents of each crime and the number that involved taking computers and communications devices) would be fantastic. The list of crimes is as follows: - Domestic Burglary - Non-Domestic Burglary - Aggravated Burglary - Robbery - Theft from a person (e.g. mugging, pickpocketing, bag snatching) - Theft from a vehicle - Theft from a location (e.g. shoplifting)

  • Mitigating Circumstances – Gross Misconduct

Ref: 290/14 Cat: Complaints & Discipline
    Req: 27/03/2014 Rep: 04/04/2014

Please can you let me know if there have been instances where employees have been cautioned for a crime then been suspended and have kept their job. I want to know if mitigating circumstances are considered when deciding whether to dismiss employee if they have been suspended for gross misconduct. Mainly if psychology break downs that trigger a moment of madness leading to a police caution are given a second chance within force.
